Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Vergers' is a sophisticated French white wine that emanates a refined and harmonic blend of flavours. Originating from the Montrachet region, it boasts strong notes of ripe apples, lemons, and pears, balanced with undertones of almond and light oak. The palate is luxuriously creamy with a crisp acidity, retaining an exceptional freshness. This wine exhibits power and elegance, making it an ideal partner for seafood dishes. Its exceptional ageing potential ensures it becomes more nuanced and expressive over time; a testament to the mastery of wine-making at Philippe Colin.
Tasting Notes
One of Chassagne-Montrachet’s most elegant and luxurious wines, this complex bottling strikes a brilliant balance between the mineral character and the powerful, spicy character. Ripe fruit and slight flint aromatics deceive, as they guide to a palate that is broader, deeply expressive and full bodied with pure fruit and chalk, rounding out with a long mineral-tinged finish. Ideal with noble white meats or fish like salmon. To be served at 10-12°C. Ageing potential: 5-7 years.
