Product Notes

Punset Neh! Langhe Rosso is a charismatic Italian red varietal hailing from Piedmont's magnificent Langhe region. Its mesmerising ruby colour perfectly complements the enchanting bouquet of fruity and floral aromas, including red berries and roses. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine reveals a pleasant freshness and balance, revealing hints of spices and herbs. With delicate tannins and a persistent finish, it exemplifies the winemaker's commitment to organic farming and biodynamic principles. Punset Neh! Langhe Rosso is an inviting and versatile wine that pairs brilliantly with a range of dishes, making it a must-have addition to any prestigious wine collection.

Tasting Notes

The rather intense ruby red colour anticipates the olfactory sensation of intense fruity notes that are repeated on the palate, where the pleasantness of summer fruits such as cherry, plum and morello cherry dominate. Its good structure and medium body, are presented with a large and persistent finish, slightly tannic and dry.

About the Winery

Punset

Nestled in the heart of Italy's Piedmont region, the Punset winery is an amalgamation of traditional winemaking practices and innovative sustainability initiatives. Owned and managed by the charismatic Marina Marcarino, Punset is not just a vineyard, but a testament to Marcarino's belief in organic farming and the enhancement of local biodiversity.

Borne out of a deep-seated respect for the earth, Punset holds the distinction of being one of the first certified organic vineyards in the Barbaresco region. Marcarino, who took over the reins in the mid-'80s, has hence fashioned a winery steeped in love for nature's bounty. Her belief in organic farming has borne fruit in the distinctive array of wines produced at Punset.

The vineyards unfurling across the untouched hillsides of Piedmont echo the authenticity and distinct personality of Punset wines. This multiplicity stems from the five distinct vineyards – each with unique soil composition and microclimate – which flourish under the care of the Punset team.

Committed to creating wines that showcase the essence of the terroir, Punset utilises traditional winemaking techniques, with the gentle pressing of grapes, and spontaneous fermentation. However, what sets Punset apart is its dedication to biodynamic farming principles. This approach recognises the interconnectedness of all life and creates a harmonious environment, which is then reflected in the vibrant and complex flavour profiles of the Punset wines.

Their range of wines includes the classic Barbaresco and Arneis, alongside lesser-known gems such as Langhe Nebbiolo and Barbera d'Alba. Each bottle captures the essence of Punset: a refreshing and unique beacon of organic winemaking, and the embodiment of the vibrant harmony between humanity and nature, We welcome you to a glass of Punset - a palate-pleasing celebration of earthy authenticity and organic integrity.
