Product Notes

Made in Italy's renowned wine region, Scarzello Barolo Sarmassa Vigna Merenda is a beautifully structured and powerful wine. Its striking personality owes to exquisite Nebbiolo grapes, featuring vibrant acidity and firm tannins. This full-bodied wine unveils complex aromas of ripe red fruits, rose petals, and subtle spices, intertwined with gentle oak influences. The palate is graced with flavours of cherries, plums, and tertiary notes of leather and earth. Aged for 36 months in large barrels, it culminates into a wine with pronounced elegance and a persistently intensive finish. Ideal for special occasions and a worthy addition to any wine cellar.

Tasting Notes

A real beauty, sensual and floral red and black fruits but with a fervour and depth that puts it one step above the regular Barolo. Wonderfully complex array of fruits, garriguettes strawberries, Victoria plum, damson, fresh cut cflower. So alluring and velvety but with a bright “digest” edge. As seductive as they come.
