Product Notes
Alheit Vineyards Cartology Bush Vines wine is cherished for its exceptional quality. Hailing from the Western Cape of South Africa, this wine is crafted from 100% old bush vine Chenin Blanc and Semillon grapes. The nose is a striking blend of citrus rind, green apple, and honey. Upon tasting, you'll delight in flavours of ripe pear, beeswax, and lively minerality. It's medium-bodied with a racing acidity that gifts it longevity and vibrancy. The finish is persistent, highlighting the wine's excellent structure. A fantastic companion for seafood dishes, this wine symbolises Alheit Vineyards' dedication to preserving South Africa's vinous heritage.
Tasting Notes
The nose is detailed and beautiful – ripe pear and sweet herbs, both citrus juice and rind. The palate is very pure and true, fine boned clarity, lovely proportions, no extra weight (unlike myself). This vintage shows good intensity and saline length. For me, the key word for this vintage is purity. This wine is already drinking well in its youth, but will reward maturation.
