About the Winery

Chateau Langoa Barton winery, nestled in the Saint-Julien appellation of the world-renowned Bordeaux region, imparts an idyllic view of French vineyard splendour. According to the annals of history, these vineyards have been bountiful since 1776; therefore, it stands as a symbol of impeccable French winemaking craftsmanship.

The estate is steeped in significant history, bought by the Barton family in 1822. Still within the family's grasp, they have beautifully preserved the winery's heritage. The Chateau's charming façade of stone and tiles encapsulate an era past and offers spectacular insight into Bordeaux's winemaking traditions. There's an ineffable sense of tranquillity that pervades as one walks amongst vast expanse of vineyards, shrouded in tantalising hues of green and gold.

At Langoa Barton, the main grape variety cultivated is Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The winery is famed for producing wines that enchant with a fine balance of intensity and elegance. The deeply hued elixirs offer a promise of richness and depth, marked by succulent fruity notes and a hint of unique earthy nuances, which is a complex treat for the senses,

The true gem, however, is the namesake Langoa Barton wine. The vintage, being a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is matured for 18 months in oak barrels, contributing to its distinctive character and richness. This rich full-bodied red beholds a beautiful bouquet of dark berries and hints of vanilla which, along with its velvety tannin profile, makes for a remarkable tasting experience vigilantly savoured by wine enthusiasts across the globe.

So, whether you are a refined connoisseur, or a novice seeking to understand the fascinating world of wine, Château Langoa Barton offers a timeless experience of exquisite winemaking, captivating ambience and, of course, robust and flavourful wines replete with layers of complexity and refinement.
