Product Notes

Mullineux Iron Swartland Syrah wine is an acclaimed South African gem, crafted in the Swartland region. Deep ruby in colour, this wine exhibits complex aromas of violets, dried herbs and back cherries. Its robust palate boasts vivid notes of iron, enduring a full-bodied mouthfeel, followed by a minerally finish. The wine's intricate layers reveal velvety tannins, emphasising finesse over opulence. Matured predominantly in French oak vats for a span of 18 months, Mullineux Iron Swartland Syrah represents a true delineation of its unique terroir. A worthy accompaniment for hearty meat dishes, it promises a memorable tasting experience.

Tasting Notes

The 'Iron' is the fullest bodied of Mullineux's Single Terroir Syrahs. On the nose, it is spicy and savoury, with dark berries. The palate has soft and velvety - yet firm - tannins with hints of orange peel, cloves and white pepper. The wine is brooding, dense and alluring with a fresh and long finish.
