Product Notes

Petrolo Boggina Bianco is a tantalisingly elegant Italian white wine. Produced in Tuscany, this exquisite blend is crafted predominantly from Trebbiano Toscano grapes, effortlessly embodying the sun-soaked terroir of the region. Each sip bursts with nuanced flavours, combining sweet floral notes, tangy citrus and a hint of smooth spice. The Boggina Bianco offers a refreshing lightness, expertly balanced by a structured acidity. Lastly, a subtle oak element due to the wine’s meticulous ageing process offers depth and complexity. This is an ideal accompaniment to seafood dishes or simply exquisite to enjoy on a sunny afternoon.

Tasting Notes

This is fresh and perfumed with notes of beeswax, spicy herbs and orange blossom. Nuts. Honey blossom. Beautiful fruit with savory undertones and wet stone minerality. Full-bodied, so persistent and complex with depth to the fruit and stunning acidity. The finish is long and linear, changing from mineral to a steely character at the very end. Beautiful as always. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.” – James Suckling

About the Winery

Petrolo

Nestled in the verdant hills of Tuscany, Petrolo Winery stands as a testament to the timeless allure of Italian viticulture. This enchanting vineyard (spectacular backdrop of meandering vine rows, framed with cypress trees) speaks of its age-old legacy. It is this history that gives the Petrolo vineyard its unique character, and imbues each bottle of its fine wine, with an unrivalled depth of flavour.

One of the winery's defining characteristics is its sustainable approach to winemaking. The owners are fervently committed to organic cultivation and biodynamic methodology. Its resolute adherence to these eco-conscious practices ensures the preservation of the terrain's biodiversity; safeguarding the unique terroir that's significant to Petrolo’s heady ambrosia.

Petrolo Winery embodies Italian luxury, boasting a suite of exclusive wines. Each expression, a symphony of tastes- from the robust, brooding notes of its flagship wine, "Galatrona," to the complex and delicately layered "Torrione". Acclaimed by connoisseurs globally, these wines serve as a testament to Petrolo's meticulous dedication to the craft.

Petrolo maintains an authentic Italian soul through its non-wine offerings as well. The vineyard still preserves century-old olive groves. The oil produced from these trees, invokes the authentic taste of Tuscan heritage, much like its celebrated wines. Visitors to the estate are treated to a tour of the functioning winery and get to sample this liquid gold too.

The allure of Petrolo extends beyond its wines and olive groves. The vineyard estate is also home to a stately villa, dating back to the 1700s. Picturesquely perched atop wine-covered hills, it offers a breathtaking vista of the Tuscan countryside; an idyllic setting for a dream Italian holiday.

In essence, Petrolo Winery is not just an establishement producing wines; it's a sensory journey of sights, smells, and tastes, one that unfolds the mystique of Tuscany. Visit Petrolo for its wines but fall in love with its evocative essence of Italian charm and luxury.
