Renowned for its sophistication and exceptional quality, Rust en Vrede Estate Wine is indeed a pinnacle of South African winemaking. This opulent red blend boasts intense flavours of dark berries and subtle undertones of spice and cedar, harmoniously balanced with firm tannins. Aged for a generous span in oak barrels, it exudes a complex character and luscious finish. Rust en Vrede Estate Wine is an embodiment of meticulous cultivation, perfect for complementing red meat dishes. Sourcing from vineyards in the prestigious Stellenbosch region ensures the impeccable essence Rust en Vrede wines are famously known for.

Tasting Notes

Rich cassis and mulberry with cedar and tobacco reveal Cabernet as the backbone to the blend, after which fresh red and black cherry with black pepper spice show the Syrah component. Intense fruit flavours are layered with mocha, Christmas cake, sandalwood and leather, bringing complexity to the wine. Fresh, fruity acidity balances the firm, coating tannins, culminating in a clean, dry finish that indicates good ageing potential.
