Product Notes

Warwick Estate Professor Black Pitch Black wine is a luscious South African creation that beautifully marries intense flavour with refined elegance. Offering a deep, rich body with notes of ripe blackberry, warming spice, and sunbaked earth, this darkly delightful blend pleases even the most discerning palette. Hints of dark chocolate and smoky oak round out a beautifully balanced finish. Highly expressive and robust, it holds exceptional cellaring potential. Boasting a long, satisfying finish, this sterling addition to Warwick Estate's repertoire pays tribute to the winemaking prowess of this renowned vineyard. A must try for bold red wine aficionados.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple in colour, the nose is dark and inviting, with notes of spice and dried herbs, followed by purple flowers and a hint of cedar and cigar box. The palate is lush and smooth, with hints of blackcurrant, cassis, aniseed, coffee beans, and cedarwood. Finely packed tannins and fresh acidity makes this an ideal wine to mature and will reward careful cellaring over the next three to five years.
