Product Notes

Weingut Weszeli Grüner Veltliner Langenlois is an exquisite Austrian wine, shaped by the rich loam and loess soils of the Langenlois vineyards. Delighting wine lovers with its bright, golden hue, this wine offers an invigorating aroma of green apple and white pepper, enhanced by subtle mineral undertones. On the palate, its vivacious citrus flavours marry beautifully with a charming peppery spice, rounded off by a refreshing, dry finish. With its medium body and balanced acidity, its harmonious nature makes it an excellent companion for seafood. A bottle of Weingut Weszeli Grüner Veltliner truly embodies the essence of the Langenlois terroir.

Tasting Notes

The nose: Inviting creamy nose with aromas of orange zest, fresh meadow notes and apples, extremely crisp and vital, a touch of white bread. The palate: juicy with lively fruit, light to medium body, aromas of citrus and quince, filigree in the finish, stimulating and charming.

About the Winery

Weingut Weszeli

Embraced by the enchanting landscapes of Austria's Kamptal region, Weingut Weszeli, is a family-run vineyard beloved for its dedication to producing superior wines. Established by the Loimer family in 1907, this storied winery has since become a beacon of tradition within the widely acclaimed Kamptal wine region.

Making use of the unique geology across its 20 hectares of varied vineyard sites, Weingut Weszeli crafts a range of top-tier wines, which are as expressive of their unique terroirs as they are of the Loimer family’s passion for viticulture. Recognising the all-important role of the soil and climate, Weingut Weszeli focuses on cultivating Riesling and Grüner Veltliner varieties. These wines showcases the unique character of Kamptal’s distinct growing regions.

Having inherited the passion for wine-making from the earlier generations, Davis Weszeli took over the winery’s reins in 2011. Under his leadership the vineyard has flourished with a philosophy firmly rooted in respect for nature and traditions, David has steered the vineyard towards biodynamic methods and meticulous grape selection, ensuring the yield is of high quality,

Perhaps the most impressive characteristic of Weingut Weszeli beyond its captivating collection of wines, is its commitment to the environment. Sustainability is at the heart of their philosophy, with ongoing initiatives such as their biodynamic compost heap and a strong focus on organic viticulture. This intuitive approach underlines the family's belief that by nurturing the environment, they are also nurturing their wines.

A visit to Weingut Weszeli is like stepping back in time, where the rustic charm of the winery and the meticulous craftsmanship of its caretakers are as intoxicating as the wines themselves. This blend of history, tradition and dedication to quality ensures that each glass of Weingut Weszeli wine is indeed a toast to the Loimer family's legacy.
