Arianna Occhipinti's SP68 Rosso is a Sicilian gem, richly laden with concentrated flavours of red and black cherries, typical of the frappato and nero d'avola grapes from which it is crafted. Aromatic hints of wild mint and herbs alongside subtle spice undertones contribute to its compelling complexity. Its vivacity and medium to full body are encapsulated by a silky palate, finishing with a delectable freshness imparted by refined acidity. This exquisite, biodynamically-farmed wine hails from Sicily’s sun-drenched southeastern region of Vittoria, reflecting the passionate craftsmanship of the renowned winemaker.

Nestled in the heart of Sicily, Arianna Occhipinti winery is a beacon of biodynamic winemaking — its dedication to nurturing the earth is just as robust as its passion for crafting exquisite wines. Famed viticulturist, Arianna Occhipinti, has been tending to her family's vineyards since she was sixteen. Her philosophy — to produce wines that are reflective of the terroir and not dominated by industrialised processes — has brought her international acclaim and a devoted following.

Occhipinti's glorious 10-hectare plot, located in Vittoria, basks in the Sicilian sun whilst the vineyards are caressed by the Mediterranean breeze. This provides optimal conditions for the growth of their signature grapes; Nero d'Avola and Frappato. Using strictly organic farming methods, grapes are lovingly nurtured and transformed into an extraordinary medley of natural wines.

Interestingly, each bottle of Occhipinti is emblematic of Arianna's commitment to an organic and biodynamic process. No chemicals are permitted to infiltrate the vineyards and the wines are fermented using only natural yeasts. Each step of the winemaking process is undertaken with special attention to detail and the respect for the environment.

Arguably, the pinnacle of Arianna Occhipinti winery is their flagship wine, SP68. Named after the oldest road in Sicily. This sublime blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato grapes creates a richly characterised yet extraordinarily drinkable red wine that leaves an indelible mark on the world of viticulture.
