Product Notes
Borgo del Tiglio Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful Italian white wine showcasing alluring acidic freshness. It hails from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region known for its splendid wine varieties. An initial nose transports you through a bouquet of ripe citrus fruits and mild herbaceous elements, trailing into a crisp, mineral-driven finish on the palate. This wine never disappoints with its pronounced lime, grapefruit undertones and touch of saltiness. It exhibits a dense structure, making it a great partner for hearty seafood meals. The beautifully balanced complexity and vibrancy of Borgo del Tiglio Sauvignon Blanc truly encapsulates an artful winemaking craftsmanship.
Tasting Notes
The wine has a unique character compared to other types of Sauvignon; this is probably due to the different genetics of the grapevine. When the wine is young the aroma is of white pulp fruit, mainly peach, fragrance that tends towards spicier tones such as blackcurrant. With aging it tends towards more mineral tones. It shows great aging potential.
