Product Notes

Cantine Lunae's Vermentino Colli di Luni Etichetta Nera is a quintessential Italian white wine, hailing from the Liguria region. Its luminous straw yellow colour and persistent aroma of worn leather, green apple, and spicy notes provide a sophisticated allure. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine presents balanced acidity with delightful minerality, resulting in fresh and fruity flavours. Its delicate notes of white flowers, grapefruit, and almond are utterly captivating. The pleasantly bitter finish is reminiscent of a crisp lemon zest. Overall, Etichetta Nera is a true representation of its terroir, making it a wine connoisseur's delight.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow colour. The nose opens with hints of ripe fruit with yellow flesh, in particular apricot and peach. The fruit is embellished with notes of acacia flowers and Mediterranean scrub and accompanied by briny and balsamic notes. In the mouth the vertical and vibrant freshness and sapidity balance the large and rounded body, with good alcohol content. The long and persistent finish has notes of almond and recalls the pleasant notes of ripe fruit.

Set within the picturesque landscape of eastern Liguria, Italy, Cantine Lunae is an acclaimed winery that provides a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Accelerated into existence by Paolo Bosoni in 1966, the winery was founded with the vision to infuse the rich flavours of Italian grape, the glory of Ligurian heritage and terroir-laden uniqueness in every bottle it produces.

The winery validates historical evidence that highlights its setting as a wine-producing region since antiquity.

The vineyards, spanning vast rolling hills with a breezy climate, are meticulously looked after, with the fertile land oftentimes overlooked due to the surrounding area's popularity as a tourist destination. Here, under the care of Cantine Lunae, the land is revered and wines planted in accordance with lunar cycles, lending to the brand's mystique, where orthodoxy meets celestial wisdom in winemaking.

With an emphasis on organic and sustainable practices, Cantine Lunae is home to a diverse array of grape varieties, including the particularly eminent Vermentino. Ranging from traditional still, sparkling, white and red, the winery is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the strengths and vibrancy of its homeland. The brand's offerings, recognisable for their unforgettable flavour profile, have gained significant international accolades and recognition.

Juxtaposing the old and new world seamlessly, Cantine Lunae has become an epitome of Italian wine culture and innovation. A visit to the winery weaved with an enchanting charm and romance promises an opportunity to indulge in this rich and evocative narrative.
