Product Notes

Chateau Siaurac Lalande de Pomerol is a sumptuous French wine with a rich Bordeaux origin. Hailing from the esteemed Lalande-de-Pomerol region, it is appreciated for its full-bodied, vibrant flavours. Balanced and complex, it reveals notes of ripe cherries, plums interspersed with subtle hints of truffles and dark chocolate, underpinned by velvety tannins. The radiant ruby hue woos the aesthetic sense before the lush palate indulges the taste-buds. Well-structured and finely layered, its character seems to evolve with each sip. A splendid accompaniment to red meat, Chateau Siaurac slots seamlessly into any gourmet dining experience. A truly extravagant tipple for discerning connoisseurs.

Tasting Notes

Black cherry and spice on the nose. A full-bodied, generously-juicy and very quaffable wine with great structure. It is easy to drink and goes extremely well with red meats

About the Winery

Chateau Siaurac

Chateau Siaurac, sits in the heart of the celebrated Bordeaux wine region of France; it is a winery touched by history and filled with rustic charm. This vineyard, one of the largest in Lalande de Pomerol, represents French viticulture at its finest.

Tucked amidst a verdant expanse of 46 hectares, Chateau Siaurac beautifully encapsulates the unique combination of time-honoured tradition and contemporary precision. Under the expertise of winemaking couple, Aline and Paul Goldschmidt, the Chateau continues to produce exquisite wines, which always hint at the terroir of the region.

Since 1832, the vineyard has been cultivating wines reflective of the distinct characteristics of its soil. Predominantly Merlot, with a smaller blend of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, these grapes flourish in the region’s cool climate and nutrient-rich clay soil. Their bountiful harvest forms the backbone of Chateau Siaurac’s renowned medium-bodied reds.

Chateau Siaurac, while steadfastly maintaining its historic roots, also embraces sustainability and modern innovation. The estate is certified organic and is moving towards becoming fully biodynamic, endeavouring to preserve the richness and health of its land for future generations.

Visitors to Chateau Siaurac enjoy a French winery experience like no other. Between the scenic vineyard tours, do yourself a favour and try the Chateau's wine pairing dinner. You'll savour a five-course meal featuring local ingredients, each dish skillfully matched with a vintage from Siaurac’s cellar.

Roam the grounds and uncover the Chateau's serene park, home to trees over two centuries old, or visit the 18th-century Chateau and its grand drawing rooms. This family-owned estate aims to make guests feel at home away from home, and they succeed, magnificently.

To end your visit, the Chateau’s wine shop offers an astonishing range of wines available for purchase. Take home a bottle - or even a case, of their historical Bordeaux blends to savour long after your visit has ended.

Chateau Siaurac is, in every sense, a testament to the fine art of French winemaking; an irresistible destination for any wine enthusiast or the casual lover of a good vintage!
