Product Notes
David & Nadia Aristargos is a characterful South African wine, embodying the essence of the Swartland region where it originates. A blend of five varieties, including Chenin Blanc, Viognier, and Roussanne, it delivers a rhapsody of flavours and textures. Fragrant scents of white peach, lemon zest, and honeysuckle meld harmoniously with flavours of ripe pear and peach. The wine's endearing complexity is underpinned by superb minerality and beautifully integrated oak nuances. This medium-bodied tipple, with fresh acidity, makes Aristargos ideally suited for dining as it effortlessly complements a variety of dishes. Its grace and longevity make it worth savouring.
Tasting Notes
A focused nose leads into grassy herbal notes before Thai green papaya salad, mango and lime leaf, white peaches, and a touch of pineapple emerges with air. A more understated style in 2019 with clear aging potential. Predominantly Chenin Blanc on granitic soils with an old vine focus. Grenache Blanc from the Kasteelberg adds a bit of breadth and intensity derived from schist soils, while the Verdelho, a new addition, counteracts it with freshness and saltiness to add another level of complexity. A classy expression of Aristargos
