Product Notes

The Domaine Ballot-Millot Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay is a lavish white wine from French vineyards. This Chardonnay combines opulence and freshness, embracing with grace the balance of fruit and oak. It boasts a vibrant gold hue, exuding a bouquet of honey, citrus, green apples and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palette, it imparts an exquisite, mineral-driven flavour that speaks volumes about its high-quality terroir. Medium-bodied with well-structured acidity, this wine concludes with a deliciously long finish, making it an exceptional choice for any wine lover who treasures the intricate essence of Burgundian Chardonnay.

About the Winery

Domaine Ballot-Millot

Nestled within the heart of the renowned French winemaking region, Burgundy, is the estimable Domaine Ballot-Millot winery. This family-run estate spans five generations and holds an admirable reputation in producing world-class, elegant wines.

Located in the charming commune of Meursault, Domaine Ballot-Millot is renowned for the finesse and purity of its wines. The vineyard spans an impressive 11 hectares, and artistically utilises both traditional and modern winemaking techniques. Here the highest quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are grown, producing exquisite wines expressive of it's terroir.

At the helm of the vineyard is young vigneron Charles Ballot who took over from his father, Philippe Ballot in 2000. Inspired by his lineage, Charles has a deep respect for the land and traditional methods, but has also introduced elements of innovation – pushing the vineyard to continually evolve and fine-tune its production. In the past two decades, he has refined the process of vinification, meticulous barrel selection and decreased the use of new oak to create a sublime balance.

Among the vineyard’s output, the Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay hold particular distinction. The Meursault wines exhibit an unparalleled balance of robust flavour and delicacy, while the Puligny-Montrachet demonstrates a divine minerality and the Volnay – a velvety allure.

Visitors to Domaine Ballot-Millot rave about not only the superior quality of the wines, but the warm and welcoming atmosphere that fills the vineyard, undoubtedly a trait inherited from its family roots. Guests can savour tastings and soak up the serene beauty of the vineyard under the Mediterranean sun.

Domaine Ballot-Millot, in essence, is more than a winery. It encapsulates a sacred family tradition, the perfect amalgamation of years of winemaking expertise coupled with a deep love and respect for the land you can feel it in every sip. Indisputably, this is a wine experience not to be missed by any self-respecting oenophile if in France, you're indeed in for a treat.
