G.D. Vajra Barbera d'Alba Superiore is an exquisite Italian wine offering a true reflection of Piedmont. Its opulent ruby red colour strikes instantly, followed by a bouquet of ripe cherries, plums and subtle hints of spice and earthiness. The palate is met with superb acidity, balanced expertly with hearty tones of red fruit and soft tannins. It's symbol of elegance and complexity, aged gracefully in oak barrels to enhance its depth. Highly versatile, pairs exquisitely with a variety of foods, from roast meats to mature cheeses. An abundant pleasure for the true wine connoisseur.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red in colour, this wine opens with intense perfumes of plums and dark chocolate. On the palate, it has great concentration and intensity, especially on the mid-palate, with smoky, damson fruit and lovely balance between supple tannins and youthful acidity.
