Product Notes

A delightful concoction, Jean Leon 3055 Rosé reveals the refined elegance of Spanish winemaking. This refined wine combines Grenache and Pinot Noir grapes, striking a balance between refreshing acidity and a firm fruity profile. Its delicate blush colour carries forward to a vibrant bouquet of summer berries and blossoms, while the palate dances with nuanced hints of strawberry, cherry and rose. With medium-bodied, persistently silky finish, it is a versatile offering, being equally delightful on its own or with Mediterranean cuisine. Radiating with youthful energy, Jean Leon 3055 Rosé is certainly an expressive tribute to the refreshing Spanish summer.

Tasting Notes

Pale red color. The nose reveals delicate aromas of white peach and citrus flowers interlaced with hints of cherry and raspberry. Remarkably fresh on the palate thanks to the acidity, which carries through to the finish. Unfolds elegantly toward a long finish with constant echoes of orange blossom on retronasal.

About the Winery

Jean Leon

Jean Leon winery, nestled in the heart of Catalonia's Penedès wine region, is a beacon of exceptional viticulture that embodies the pursuit of quality and innovation. Established in the 1960s by the adventurous and ambitious Jean Leon, the winery has carved out a remarkable reputation for its dedication to producing high-end, single-vineyard wines.

Jean Leon, originally from Santander, Spain, was a pioneer in his field, determined to trailblaze new paths in Spanish winemaking. After a colourful past which included stints as a taxi driver and waiter in Hollywood, he channelled his passion into forming an estate that celebrates terroir-driven wines, drawing from international varieties favoured by connoisseurs worldwide. The winery's production focuses on Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, presenting a bold departure from the traditional cava production synonymous with the region.

The winery, striking in its modernist architecture, is nestled amidst rolling vineyards that spread out beneath the rugged Montserrat mountain. Additionally, an on-site restaurant aims to provide an immersive gastronomic experience, pairing Jean Leon wines with local cuisine that celebrates the diversity of the region's produce.

Jean Leon winery was also one of the first wineries in Spain to be granted its own 'Vino de Pago' designation, an accolade reserved for wineries that consistently produce wines of exceptional quality within their specific microclimate. Continually pushing the envelope, the winery is proud to be fully organic, ensuring that their winemaking methods are not only beneficial for the environment but also contribute to the production of unique, expressive wines.

With its legacy of innovation and a persistent quest for excellence. Jean Leon Winery invites wine aficionados and novices alike, to not just taste their accomplished wines but to also explore the fascinating journey of their legendary founder. This is indeed an encounter with unique winemaking that is as engaging as it is delightful.
