Product Notes

An elegant wine expressing the richness of Australia's famed Coonawarra region, Jim Barry's The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits substantial depth and complexity. Its vibrant crimson colour precedes a bouquet loaded with robust blackcurrant and plum, underlined with subtle, delicate hints of smoky oak and cassis. On the palate, it upholds intense flavours of ripe berries and dark chocolate, elegantly balanced with firm tannins and astute acidity, culminating in a prolonged, harmonious finish. Overall, this Cabernet Sauvignon presents a gustatory treasure that marries both power and finesse.

Tasting Notes

In the glass this wine shows a bright garnet red with a violet hue. The nose opens with notes of juicy blackcurrant and blackberry aromatics, balanced with savoury notes of dried herbs and turned earth. The palate displays generous red and blackcurrant fruit, with hints of liquorice, tobacco and savoury oak. Soft, silky tannins round out a harmonious and moreish wine which can be enjoyed now or will reward cellaring for 5 years.
