Product Notes

La Rioja Alta Viña Alberdi Reserva wine boasts a traditional, elegant Spanish profile. Sourced from Spain's Prestigious La Rioja region, this red tempranillo embodies a superb balance between ripe red fruit and savoury spice notes. It ages for two years in American oak barrels, adding a pleasant hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is silky and robust, exuding flavours of ripe plum, sweet spices, and earthy undertones. The wine's vibrant acidity keeps it fresh, whilst its polished tannins add structure, culminating in a lovely, lengthy finish of harmonious complexity. Best paired with meat dishes or hearty cheeses.

Tasting Notes

Bright, deep ruby colour with intense dark cherry hues on the rim of the glass. It stands out for its intense ripe red fruit aromas like strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants complemented by pleasantly sweet spicy notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. The palate is round, with lively freshness at the start and sweet, supple tannins, leading to a long, fruity and balsamic finish, so characteristic of Viña Alberdi.
