Product Notes

Miguel Torres Cordillera Carmenére is a standout Chilean wine imbued with the vivid personality of the Pencopolitano. This velvety, full-bodied red emanates an enticing blend of deep berry, plum, and smoky spice notes. Lashings of dark chocolate and blackcurrant lend stunning complexity to the palate, brought into balance by moderate tannins and a hint of pepperiness. Its rich, layered finish is long-lasting, often leaving a touch of earthy, herbal undertones. Aged in French oak barrels, it emanates subtle, toasted nuances. Perfect for pairing with red meat or mature cheese, it's a splendid choice for those seeking a robust, sophisticated wine.

Tasting Notes

Great depth of color. The nose offers a splendid and potent expression of the character of Carménère (forest fruit, eucalyptus, and leather), with toasty notes of bay leaf and clove, as well as licorice and black pepper. A big, mouthfilling palate with round tannins. Aromas of toasted bread and spices on retronasal, culminating in a long finish.
