Product Notes

Ridge Vineyards Lytton Springs wine offers an exquisite blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan, and Mataro, hailing from California's revered Sonoma County. It's splendidly aromatic, with wild berry fragrances underpinned by earthy licorice and robust spice notes. On the palate, it unfurls intense flavours of ripe raspberries, black cherries, coupled with a hint of vanilla, structured around firm tannins, yielding a well-balanced, elegant finish. Aged in American oak barrels, this bold, deep red wine showcases a richness that is notably characteristic of Ridge Vineyards - a compelling choice for discerning wine enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes

An early spring and mild weather contributed to a uniform but moderate fruit set. Frosts in May reduced yields in some blocks, but as each parcel is on its own timing for bud break, most of the vineyard was spared. The rich fruit, refreshing acidity and firm tannin of this complex wine showcase the balance and quality typical of an exceptional vineyard. Approachable even as a young wine, this classic Zinfandel will continue to evolve over the next ten to fifteen years.
