Product Notes

Sesti Monteleccio wine is an exquisite and refined Italian red wine from Tuscany, renowned for its rich, full-bodied flavour, silky texture and sensuous aroma. It carries forward the Sesti vineyard's meticulous approach to wine-making, resulting in a beautifully complex blend of Sangiovese grapes, noted for their hints of luscious red fruits and subtle spices. This wine is an ideal accompaniment with traditional Italian meals, particularly hearty meats and cheeses. Aged in oak barrels, it has a well-balanced tannic profile, giving it a long and pleasantly lingering finish. Sesti Monteleccio is truly a sophisticated emblem of Tuscan viticulture.

About the Winery

Sesti

Set in the majestic Tuscan hills, Sesti winery epitomises the finest Italian winemaking tradition and offers an unparalleled experience for wine connoisseurs. This family-owned vineyard is run with exceptional love and care by the Sesti family, who have nurtured it for more than three generations,

The winery spans across nearly 30 hectares of the lush Tuscan countryside, where the vineyards unfurl like a verdant carpet. They exclusively grow Sangiovese and Brunello grapes, both venerated for their exceptional qualities in winemaking. Touches of other local grape varieties are also introduced to create unique blends that are both sophisticated and delightfully palatable.

Sesti winery's dedication to organic methods of cultivation is truly remarkable. Not only does this ensure the health of the vineyards, but also the production of the finest quality wines. It is this unwavering commitment to sustainable practices that elevates Sesti's wines to a league of their own.

During the harvest season, the grapes are handpicked and the wine-making process takes place in the traditional Tuscan style. This results in wines that capture the essence of the region and reflect the unique characteristics of the soil and climate, The winery's signature product is its Brunello di Montalcino, a robust red wine aged in large oak barrels to cultivate a distinctive aroma and flavour.

One aspect that distinguishes Sesti from other wineries is the observatory located within its premises which is a testament to Giuseppe Sesti’s passion for astronomy. Wine tasting sessions often combine with stargazing, making a visit to the winery a truly well-rounded cultural experience.

Sesti winery is a symbol of sustainable winemaking, scientific curiosity and respect for heritage. It continues to enthral its patrons with its breathtaking surroundings, delightful wines, and phenomenally engaging experiences.
