Product Notes

The Tasca d'Almerita - Tenuta Tascante Ghiaia Nera wine is a red Sicilian wine produced in the Mount Etna region. This enticing wine boasts an earthy, robust flavour profile balanced with floral and fruity undertones. Its deep ruby colour compliments the burst of berry notes on the palate. Upon tasting, undertones of smoked herbs, tobacco and spice offer complexity. Tascante Ghiaia Nera is known for its medium body, velvety texture and a charming, elegant acidity. It’s a great companion for rich meats, cheeses and traditional Italian dishes. It’s a fine testament to the Tasca d’Almerita winery's dedication to quality.

Tasting Notes

This wine is our take on the Nerello Mascalese from young vineyards. There are terraces, surrounded by chestnut and downy oak groves, a typical biodiversity that gives the wines their personality. Soft tannins, good drinkability and freshness. Aged in large oak barrels, an ideal and non- invasive wood for Nerello Mascalese.
