Product Notes

Thorne & Daughters Cat's Cradle Old Vine Chenin Blanc is an exquisite South African wine, exhibiting perfect balance between richness and delicacy. It opens with fragrant scents of white blossom, peach, and subtle spice, while on the palate, it delivers nuanced flavours of pear, apple, and honeyed melon, all supported by a taught thread of acidity. This wine upholds old vine Chenin Blanc's reputation for longevity, promising great potential for cellaring. Crafted with exceptional attention to detail, Cat's Cradle is a must-try for aficionados of nuanced, full-bodied white wines. Excellent alone or paired with seafood or creamy cheeses.

Tasting Notes

This is a very clear and bright expression of Chenin Blanc. On the nose, aromas of white peaches combine with ground almonds, frangipane and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine has a lovely creamy texture and a vibrant acidity balances the precise and concentrated flavours which endure on the lingering finish.
