Product Notes

Querciabella Mongrana Maremma Toscana is a sublime Italian red wine originating from the iconic Tuscany region. The wine showcases a captivating ruby red hue with a rich, alluring bouquet of succulent dark fruits, blended with delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is elegantly balanced, displaying plush tannins and impressive complexity. Matured in french oak barrels, its layers of flavours are smoothly revealed in a lengthy finish, with hints of raspberries and cassis punctuating the experience. This bottle is a harmonious blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, crafting a wonderfully refined and expressive offering from Querciabella.

Tasting Notes

The charm of Mongrana does not take long to reveal. Well-defined aromas of ripe fruit, morello cherry, blackberry and blueberry jump out of the glass, anticipating notes of kirsch, ivy, and pine needles. On the palate, it offers a juicy, fresh sip with soft tannins and a complex bouquet of leather, coffee powder and cocoa enriched by a touch of liquorice. The long finale is savoury, with a mineral note that persists in the mouth.
