Product Notes
Torbreck Old Vines GSM is a classic, full-bodied Australian wine, skilfully blended from Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre (hence GSM). It captivates with an aromatic bouquet, where one can detect black fruits, spices, and a suggestion of liquorice. On the palate, it introduces bold, ripe fruitiness balanced by assertive tannins and a touch of oak from 12 months maturation in French barrels. The finish is lasting, leaving a distinctive impression of elegance and warmth. This robust yet elegant wine, hailing from the iconic Barossa Valley, is a testament to Torbreck Winery's commitment towards preserving old vineyards.
Tasting Notes
A lifted aromatic of darker red and purple fresh fruits such as red cherry, wild blueberry and black currants balanced with savoury aromas from Mourvèdre, such as wet earth, gamey forest floor, garrigue, wild thyme and star anise. The palate is medium bodied with soft tannins and long acidity. A wine to match with versatile foods with spice or game-like flavours. Serve at 16C and enjoy as a young wine.
