Product Notes
Villa Wolf Wachenheimer Riesling is an exemplary German white wine, brimming with diverse flavours from the Palatine region. This wine exhibits a fine balance between distinct, fruity sweetness and crisp, refreshing acidity. Dominant notes of Bosc pear, ripe apricots, and sweet nectarine resonate, underpinned by a gentle minerality. The aromatic bouquet dances with honeysuckle hints, invoking the allure of a summer's day. Characteristically rich in texture, it delivers a smooth and enduring finish. An ideal companion for seafood or light salads, Villa Wolf Wachenheimer Riesling is a splendid wine brimming with harmonious complexity.
Tasting Notes
Wachenheimer Riesling is primarily produced from the Wachenheimer Königswingert. This vineyard between Wachenheim and Bad Dürkheim is a much cooler site than our other vineyards and benefits from its red sandstone soil weathering and a high proportion of clay. This enables us to combine a light structure with a fully ripe aroma. Also with this wine we rely on time - only after 10 months it is separated from the full lees. This allows us to achieve a very creamy character paired with a finely balanced acidity and aromas of yellow stone fruit.
